TAA International Accreditation Overview
TAA International’s accreditation scheme is available only to paid-up members of the Association who have been with us for 12 months or more..
Accreditation by a professional body is a way of acquiring professional recognition of competence and expertise in a particular field. TAA International’s scheme recognises competence in tropical agriculture as broadly defined in our strategy.
TAA International recognises two levels of competence based on relevant work experience and academic qualifications. The first level is designated as Member and the higher level as Fellow. The requirements for accreditation at each of these levels are outlined as follows:
| STATUS | WITH RELEVANT DEGREE | NO RELEVANT DEGREE |
|---|---|---|
| Member (MTAAI) | 5 years relevant experience | 10 years relevant experience |
| Fellow (FTAAI) | 15 years relevant experience | 20 years relevant experience |
Existing members who wish to apply for accreditation or obtain more information need to login and then visit the accreditation application page.
