COP 26 : FORESTS, AGRICULTURE AND COMMODITY TRADE (FACT)

The purpose of the Forests, Agriculture and Commodity Trade (FACT) dialogue is to promote sustainable development and trade of agricultural commodities while protecting and managing sustainably forests and other critical ecosystems.

The FACT Dialogue has identified a roadmap for action on four key and related areas of work which are central to achieving their overall objectives: trade and market development; smallholder support; traceability and transparency; and research, development, and innovation. On 2 November 2021, at COP26, 28 governments signed up to a FACT Statement which support this roadmap.
