Survey of Soil Organic Carbon (SOC) Management

The 4 per 1000 Initiative would like to ask for your views your views on the role of Soil Organic Carbon (SOC) management for climate change mitigation and sustainable development.

The survey is part of the H 2020 CIRCASA project ).  The aim of CIRCASA  is to improve international research cooperation and strengthen the international research community in the field of soil carbon sequestration in agricultural soils at EU and global levels. To support this aim a Strategic Research Agenda is being co-designed with stakeholders. This Agenda will outline priorities for the alignment of international research. Strengthened coordination in research on SOC management in agricultural soils will lead to improved understanding and scientific basis to target practices required to preserve and enhance SOC. What do you think are the most effective management options, barriers and solutions? Further, what knowledge and research is needed to improve SOC management?

If you are a farmer, landowner, public official, a non-profit organization, private business, in academia, a member of civil society, a government authority, or dealing with soil organic carbon management in any other way, the CIRCASA project team would love to hear your opinions.  There are no ‘right’ or ‘wrong’ answers.
